I grew up in a German Catholic area of southwestern Indiana in the town of Huntingburg. I played as a lineman in football and threw shot-put on the track team at Southridge High School. I went on to Purdue University where I graduated with a degree in History. After college, I moved to Indianapolis and became a high school instructional assistant as well as a middle school football and track coach. I earned a master’s degree in education at about the same time that I moved to Kansas City. I taught 7th and 8th grade Social Studies in KC for nearly 4 years. My life’s travels then brought me closer to home to the Louisville area. 2022-2023 will be my fourth year at St. Aloysius teaching 6th grade Religion and 6th & 7th grade Social Studies.

I am married to one of the few people that can tolerate my presence for long periods of time; my wonderful, beautiful, and patient wife, Anna. I have a little daughter, Cora, who is my sunshine. Together we live on the proper side of the Ohio River up in the hills west of New Albany, IN. I still have an unhealthy obsession with sports. My favorite teams are the Indianapolis Colts, St. Louis Cardinals, and Purdue Boilermakers. In my spare time when I am not doting on Cora, I enjoy reading, watching Jeopardy and sports, napping, or just sitting outside on the porch enjoying nice weather. My family are members of Holy Family Parish in New Albany. I am also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
