Our 8th graders celebrate the end of their time at St. Aloysius with two ceremonies in May.  The Baccalaureate Mass is celebrated the morning of their last day.  At this Mass, awards are given for student participation in various clubs/teams throughout the year such as Governor’s Cup, Quick Recall, Safety Patrols, etc.  After Mass, students return to their homerooms for one final walk out of the building.  Students in grades K-7 stand in the hall to “clap out” the 8th graders.  That same evening, students return with their traditional cap and gowns for the graduation ceremony.  At this ceremony, local high school representatives present merit awards and school scholarship winners are announced.  Following this ceremony, families are welcomed to a brief reception in the gym followed by the 8th grade dance.
